Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

Professional help with your PIP application

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) provides financial support for adults aged 18 to State Pension age who live with a long-term illness, disability, or mental health condition.

The application process can be complex and time-consuming, and many people find it difficult to describe how their condition affects their daily life. Our team can take care of the paperwork for you, ensuring your application is clear, accurate, and gives you the best possible chance of success.

What is Personal Independence Payment?

PIP is a non-means-tested benefit designed to help with the extra costs of living with a health condition or disability. It can be awarded whether you are working or not, and it is not affected by income or savings.

There are two components to PIP, and you may qualify for one or both:

Daily Living Component
For help with activities such as preparing meals, dressing, managing medication, or communicating.

  • Standard rate: £76.70 per week
  • Enhanced rate: £114.60 per week

Mobility Component
For support with getting around or planning and following journeys.

  • Standard rate: £30.30 per week
  • Enhanced rate: £80.00 per week

Am I Eligible for PIP?

You may qualify for PIP if you:

  • Are aged between 18 and State Pension age
  • Have a physical or mental health condition that has affected you for at least 3 months and is expected to continue for at least 9 months
  • Need help with daily activities and/or mobility

You do not need to have a formal diagnosis, and you do not need to be receiving care. The assessment is based on the help you need, not the help you currently receive.

PIP is:

  • Not means-tested
  • Not taxable
  • Not affected by savings or income
